What Is The Eligibility Criteria For The Karnataka Raitha Siri Scheme?
Though the exact eligibility criteria to avail the benefits of the scheme have not been clearly specified by the government, the citizens of Karnataka are to consider the following eligibility criteria as were for the previously implemented agricultural schemes in the state-
- The concerned applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Karnataka.
- The applicant should necessarily be either a farmer or an agricultural labor and involved in millet farming.
- The applicant must provide at least one hectare of his/her land for application of the Karnataka Raitha Siri Scheme.

Details About the Karnataka Raitha Siri Yojana
This scheme has been launched by the Karnataka state government in order to encourage more and more farmers to grow millet along with other crops in their fields. It was also observed that due to the Raitha Siri scheme, the number of small millet farmers has been increasing in the state.
The beneficiaries who will register themselves for this scheme will not need to physically visit banks or offices for the amount. The sum of Rs. 10,000 per hectare of millet farming land will directly be transferred to the bank accounts of the applicants, the details for which will be asked during registration.
The government officials are yet to announce the date and mode of registration for the scheme, though they have indicated that most probably it will be online at the Raitha Siri Scheme portal.
According to official reports, the department of agriculture in Karnataka has granted Rs. thousand crore as budget to help the farmers of Karnataka and make them wealthy and prosperous. Moreover, in addition to the millet growers of the state, the state government of Karnataka has also been planning on promoting organic farming in Karnataka.
For the paddy farmers of the state, the Karnataka government has provided the financial help of Rs. 75 hundred per hectare.
Karnataka Gruhalaxmi Crop Loan Scheme 2021
Along with the Raitha Siri scheme, the government of Karnataka has also launched a new agricultural scheme called “Gruhalaxmi Crop Loan Scheme”. This scheme was announced by the State government during the State budget 2019-20. Under this scheme, farmers of the state will be given loans at the very minimum interest rates on the mortgage of their ornaments.
