Several Reliance Jio customers in Mumbai have reported a network disruption on Twitter. They are unable to make or receive phone calls or connect to the internet. According to reports, Reliance Jio customers are seeing the “Not registered on network” message on their smartphones, which is often shown in devices that do not have SIM cards. Reliance Jio communications services seem to be down in the Mumbai circle.
According to data compiled from Twitter, the impacted areas include practically all of the city’s suburbs, including Thane’s Kalyan and Dombivili districts. Jio have not recognised the problem or offered any details on the cause of the network outage as of 04:00 PM IST on February 5, 2022. It is also unknown if customers outside of Mumbai are experiencing the problem. For the time being, customers may connect to a local Wi-Fi network to make WhatsApp calls or to obtain crucial information through email or the internet. Subscribers using an alternative number from another service provider may also access the services till the Jio network outage is fixed.
According to Down Detector, the Jio outage occurred around 11:35 a.m. IST on February 5, 2022, and there were about 37 complaints of the outage. However, the problem peaked about 12:35 PM IST, when Down Detector logged 2,758 instances of Jio’s network outage. As of 2:20 PM IST, the number of complaints on the site had dropped to 583, however the problem did not seem to be remedied. Approximately 82 percent of the total number of complaints indicate that their Jio SIM card is not receiving signals.
